It is essential for the blocks used in basket weave flooring to have a length that is the sum of the blocks widths. Most wooden blocks are unsuitable for basket weave flooring installation. Be it diagonal or square basket weave makes a great alternative to herringbone parquet.
There is a large number of species of wood that can be used as basket weave parquet. The blocks are available in 20mm or 15mm thick, are available in 10mm thickness
The addition of feature borders, medallions or custom inlays are all possible with basket weave and herringbone parquet flooring.
